The Lyon star has been heavily linked with a move to England in the past, and with his current club enduring financial difficulties at the moment it seemed likely he would be allowed to leave.

It appears that a January switch is out of the question however, as the French forward recently declaring his intentions to stay with Lyon.

“For my part I have not expressed a desire to leave. It seems obvious to me to stay and continue with this project,” he said.

Lacazette has been in fantastic form this season, netting 14 times in 17 league games. Lyon currently find themselves third in Ligue 1, and seem confident of closing the gap between Olympique de Marseille and Paris Saint-Germain.

With Arsenal and Liverpool both struggling for goals this season, both could use the extra firepower. It seems they will have to look elsewhere though, as the pacey young forward doesn’t appear to be going anywhere.
