Blind currently remains sidelined after suffering the injury on international duty for Holland in November but he appears to be on the mend as his father, Danny, suggests.

Blind Sr is now a coach with the national team and gave good news on his sons condition.

“On Tuesday he had a scan. Everything looked fine on the scan. Daley can really begin rehabilitation now but is still on schedule,” he said.

The summer signing is now no longer required to wear a brace on his knee, but it is thought United will ease him back into training at Carrington.

The news will come as a huge boost to the club just days after Louis Van Gaal admitted that the club’s injury crisis is getting out of hand.
