Chelsea flop Fernando Torres could already be set for a return to Stamford Bridge this January as AC Milan look to cut short the striker’s two-year loan deal at the San Siro, according to the Daily Express.

The Spanish international was finally moved on by the Blues this summer after years of disappointing performances since his £50m move from Liverpool in 2011, but he has failed to make an impression in Serie A either.

Torres looked set to join up with Milan for two seasons in what was expected to turn into a permanent move, but it seems the Italian club have already decided that they don’t want to keep him after just half a season with the player on their books.

Torres only has one goal in ten appearances for his new club so far, continuing the poor form in front of goal that saw him become something of a laughing stock in his time at Chelsea, despite previously being regarded as world class in his days as a Liverpool player.
