The Red Devils had been linked to a move for the 33-year-old as they have suffered an injury crisis at the back for much of the season. Their former player has been finding it hard to get in the Inter Milan side under new manager Roberto Mancini, and so a return to the side he only left in the summer was reported to be on the cards.
However, this has since been denied, with Amoyal posting quotes from the centre-back’s agent saying that he will not be leaving the Italian club and he is committed to the three year contract he signed just over six months ago.
Amoyal revealed that the player will not be leaving the San Siro.
