How did the Spurs players fare as they lost out on top spot in their group?
Tottenham Hotspur could draw the likes of Borussia Monchengladbach, Zenit St. Petersburg and Dinamo Moscow in the next round of the Europa League after failing to get the point that they needed in their final group stage clash against Slaven Bilic’s useful Besiktas side in Istanbul.

Tosun goal video
In a game disrupted by a first half floodlight failure, Spurs dominated early on but lost their grip in the second half, losing out to a scrappy winning goal by Turkish international Tosun.
This is how we rated the Spurs side:
GK) Michel Vorm 6 – Given a run out ahead of regular first choice Hugo Lloris, Vorm did fine with the little action that he had – he was given no chance with the goal.
RB) Kyle Walker 7 – Walker impressed on his return to the Spurs team after a length injury layoff, looking sprightly during his marauding runs down the right flank.
CB) Younes Kaboul 5 – The Spurs captain was largely solid, but Besiktas hit the bar through a clear error by the Frenchman and his positioning for the goal could be questioned.
