The Blues wide-man has been linked with an exit from Stamford Bridge this January after struggling for regular playing time since his move from FC Basel this time last year.

Salah had been regarded as one of the most promising young talents in European football during his time in Switzerland, though he faces plenty of competition for places in this star-studded Chelsea team.

Still, Mourinho seemingly has plans for the 22-year-old and ruled out letting him go when asked about the player’s future today, saying he is a talent he rates highly.

“Salah is a player we like, we trust and he’s part of our plans. He’s not going anywhere,” Mourinho is quoted as saying on Chelsea’s official Twitter feed.

Salah cost the club around £11m when he joined last year, but he has made just sixteen appearances for the Londoners.
