Liverpool legend Carragher lashed out at Ferguson during a Twitter exchange with fellow pundit Gary Neville, accusing the retired manager of bullying refs.

The comment came after Neville posted footage of United’s win over Liverpool in the 1999 FA Cup, which Carragher took exception too.

He responded by claiming it was a typical Manchester United win, with late goals being scored after Sir Alex Ferguson had bullied the ref into adding extra time onto the clock.

The pair will be together on Sunday when Liverpool and Manchester United meet once again in the Premier League, with the match sure to spark some controversy in the Sky Sports studio.

Both teams have been relatively poor this season, but Louis van Gaal’s Manchester United have somehow found themselves in the top four. Liverpool however, are struggling down in ninth place, and could badly use a win against their rivals this weekend.
