Manchester City midfielder James Milner has been linked with a move to Inter Milan this January after talks over a new contract stalled, according to the Sun.

The England international has been linked with a number of clubs in recent times after failing to commit his future to the Premier League champions, and it now seems that he has become a top target for his former manager Roberto Mancini, who recently took over at the San Siro.
The 28-year-old would be free to sign a pre-contract agreement with foreign clubs from January onwards, and is said to be open to the prospect of linking up with Mancini at Inter next season.
Inter could hold talks with Milner in the near future if his future at City remains unresolved, and this could result in the £26m signing from Aston Villa back in 2010 finally leaving the club for free.
Milner has not always been a regular for City and may be keen to take on a new challenge elsewhere, joining former Chelsea left-back Ashley Cole in moving to Italy.
