The Reds have suffered a poor start to the season, and it would seem that this has caused their team morale to suffer. Their most recent loss was 3-0 to fierce rivals Manchester United, a result which left them in 10th place in the league and struggling to keep up with the race for the top four and a place in the Champions League.

These admissions could mean that the bad form is because of a troubled dressing room rather than the loss of Luis Suarez in the summer. This is a problem that can be much more easily affected by the manager.

“We have to recapture the team ethos. With the emphasis of the team, it is clear to me that we are searching to find solutions,” he said.

“The players are working hard, the players have given everything, they are pressing and they are working. In every dressing room there have always been been issues, but it is not something I discuss outside of the dressing room. The players are honest but we are not getting results,” he continued.

He concluded, “I can’t fault the commitment of the players because they gave everything.”

The Merseyside club’s next fixture is another tough one against Arsenal. They will need to be at their best in order to get anything against the in form Gunners.
