Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers is keen on landing Inter Milan midfielder Fredy Guarin with ITV claiming a £12m January bid is in the offing.

The cultured 28 year old Colombian is a very versatile performer who can play in a number of roles across the middle of the park as well as out wide and though Rodgers would like to bring in the former FC Porto man on an initial loan deal he is willing to make an outright bid if necessary.
Guarin has started just five of Inter’s Serie A fixtures this term and may be a player that new boss Roberto Mancini considers selling in January.
With the likes of Joe Allen, Lucas and Jordan Henderson all failing to impress this season one can well see why Rodgers would take an interest in Guarin.
Prior to his move to Italy Guarin proved hugely successful in Portugal, helping FC Porto to three Primeira Liga titles and a Europa League triumph during his four years at the club.
