The Premier League champions are looking short of options upfront after losing Sergio Aguero and Edin Dzeko to injury, meaning Spanish youngster Jose Pozo started upfront for Manuel Pellegrini’s side against Leicester City this weekend.

Bony has been linked with other top clubs in the past after settling well into Premier League life, having previously enjoyed a prolific scoring record in the Eredivisie with Vitesse.

The 26-year-old has continued to impress this season, scoring 9 goals and providing two assists in 17 appearances for the Swans to earn rumoured interest from Liverpool.

Valued at around £20m, Bony could prove a bargain for City as they look to solve their issues upfront, with the team relying heavily on the goals of Aguero this season, as the Argentine’s fine form has seen him become top scorer in the Premier League.
