Joao Moutinho not looking for a move away from AS Monaco.

Experienced AS Monaco and Portugal midfielder Joao Moutinho has spoken out about transfer speculation linking him with a January move to the Premier League, report the Express, with the 28 year-old insisting that he has no intention of leaving Stade Louis II and is fully committed to the side’s Ligue 1 campaign.

Moutinho has been linked with Arsenal, Manchester United and Chelsea on account of his experience and international quality – and the fact that Monaco showed a desire to shed their highly paid international stars in the summer transfer window, having allowed James Rodriguez and Radamel Falcao to depart the club.

Even if Premier League sides are interested in bringing Moutinho to the English top flight this winter, however, it seems as though their wishes will go unfulfilled as the player has reiterated his commitment to Monaco and insisted that he is not listening to the speculation:

“I am not thinking about the January window, nor am I thinking about the end of the season. I don’t want anything to do with that. I am focused on Monaco.”

Formerly of FC Porto, Moutinho was one of the players that Monaco splashed out huge sums on when they returned to the French top flight 18 months ago, but is one of few remaining – although he was able to lead the team to a huge 1-0 victory over table topping Marseille on Saturday.
