Milligan did not receive a caution from referee Peter Green, however the A-League match review panel handed the Victory captain the mandatory one-match suspension for serious foul play plus an additional two-week suspension.

Antonis reportedly required 10 stitches from the clash, and played the rest of the match with blurred vision.

Milligan will miss Saturday’s much-anticipated clash against Melbourne City, as well as a home game against Newcastle Jets on December 27.

His is then expected to join the Socceroos camp for the Asian Cup and will serve the final match of his suspension following the completion of the tournament.
