Louis van Gaal remains undecided over the future of Manchester United star Radamel Falcao at Old Trafford…

Radamel Falcao’s future at Manchester United is still in doubt according to Louis van Gaal, and the Dutchman won’t be forced into making any decisions just yet, as reported by ITV.

The Colombian hasn’t made the best start to life at Old Trafford, with his fledgling Premier League career blighted with injury.

The former Atletico Madrid star has recently reaffirmed his allegiances to the club however, and has every intention of staying in England.

Van Gaal insists that he won’t be rushed in to any decisions however, and claimed he would need to see more from Falcao before commenting on his future.

Currently on a season long loan from Ligue 1 side AS Monaco, Falcao has made just eight appearances since making the switch to United; scoring once.

With a reported £43.5m price tag if the Red Devils decide to make the deal permanent, it would be a costly mistake to sign an injury plagued player who is unproven in the Premier League.

The Dutch manager revealed he will only make a decision once the two time Ballon d’Or nominee has proven his fitness at the club.

“He hasn’t played so much,” he said.

“You cannot see too much of a player if he doesn’t train so much.

“He has been injured a lot of time. First you have to be fit.

“Now he shows fitness in the training sessions so maybe I shall select him (for Saturday’s game at Aston Villa), maybe for the bench or the line up. Let’s wait and see.”
