Gunners boss Arsene Wenger has set his sights on the England Under 20 international and may well feel confident about his chances of luring the Newcastle United winger to the Emirates Stadium at the end of the season.

Aarons has made an instant impact since breaking into the Newcastle United first team set-up this term, scoring in his second Premier League appearance as well as netting against Man City during his side’s superb Capital One Cup win away at Man City.

Arsenal would be able to land Aarons on a free transfer though would have to foot a compensation fee given the Newcastle United starlet is under the age of 24, but even then such a deal could prove to be something of a bargain buy given the potential displayed by the Jamaican born attacker.

Aarons has perhaps unsurprisingly been compared to fellow Jamaican born winger Raheem Sterling and is a player Alan Pardew is desperate to tie down to a new deal though the Newcastle United manager has spoken of the ongoing negotiations being halted due to salary expectations and this could only further aid Wenger’s cause.

Wenger is well known for fostering young talent and helping up and coming players to fulfill their full potential and Aarons may well have his head turned by interest from the north London outfit.
