Barton holds unpopular opinion over Chilean forward.
Outspoken QPR midfielder Joey Barton has lashed out at Arsenal star Alexis Sanchez by saying that he only performs against the Premier League’s smaller sides at home, the Daily Mirror reports.

The Queens Park Rangers midfielder thinks the Chilean is “inconsistent”, despite the fact he has scored 13 goals and assisted a further six since he joined the Premier League in the summer.
However, he may have a point, as Sanchez has failed to score in any of his side’s more important clashes against the likes of Tottenham, Chelsea and Manchester United – and Barton has called him on it.
“I said he was inconsistent, from what I saw for Udinese and Barcelona. You see him now, great at home against a smaller side but disappears against Manchester United,” Barton said.
Sanchez will be in the Arsenal side to take on Liverpool on Sunday, and will look to help them get back into the top four with a win, though we can be sure that Barton will be watching him like a hawk.
