PSG Consider Move to Sell Tottenham Target To Fund Winter Spending

Mauricio Pochettino has the chance to sign one of his top targets…

PSG will have to consider selling their star players if they want to spend any money in January.

The Parisian club are subjected to strict Financial Fair Play rules after going well over the limits laid down by UEFA.

This means that the club cannot spend more than they bring in over a 5 year period.

PSG spent £50m on David Luiz this summer, which has seriously the rest of their spending power.

And now they will have to sell star youngster Adrien Rabiot to Spurs to allow them to spend more in January.

The PSG midfielder – who signed a new contract earlier this season – is the subject of a loan bid from White Hart Lane, according to reports in Le Parisien.

Arsenal and Liverpool had sounded out the 19-year-old in the summer, as had Italian side Roma.

But Mauricio Pochettino is looking to bolster his midfield having lost faith in a number of his first team players.

The Argentine manager wants to bring in hungry young player in January to replace the likes of Etienne Capoue and Moussa Dembele, both of whom have disappointed hugely in their spells at Spurs.

Rabiot joined PSG in 2010 and has represented France at under-21 level. He signed a new deal in October, but is understood to be available for the right price.
