Emirates Stadium side line-up Nou Camp raid.
Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger is readying a bid for Barcelona attacker Pedro according to the Telegraph.
The north London side conducted a Nou Camp raid over the summer and will certainly have been impressed by the showing of Alexis Sanchez since he made his move to the Premier League and Wenger appears keen to repeat the trick.
27 year old Spanish international Pedro is apparently unhappy with his first team opportunities, which are of course hamstrung by the fact that Lionel Messi, Neymar and Luis Suarez are always likely to be ahead of him in Luis Enrique’s pecking order.
Wenger is ready to offer £26m for Pedro and that may be a bid that the Catalan side would struggle to turn down though such a move may be far more likely next summer than in January given that the experienced forward wouldn’t be available for Champions League action.
Given that the likes of Joel Campbell and Lukas Podolski are yet to be handed a single Premier League start and with Theo Walcott struggling with injury concerns there is perhaps scope for a fresh option in the final third.
Pedro netted a personal best of 15 La Liga goals last term and has racked up seven goals in all competitions this season despite his limited involvement.
