The French club are interested in bringing Juve’s “Octopus” to the capital…

Italian newspaper Tuttosport has claimed that Juventus midfielder Paul Pogba is set to meet PSG owner Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani in Doha, as Juventus are there for the Italian Super Cup.

The Old Lady face Napoli in the one off game on Monday night, and there are rumours in Italy that the PSG owners will try and make Pogba an offer he can’t refuse.

PSG have long been keen to prise Pogba away from his current owners, as they look to bring in the best French players in the world.

The 21-year-old recently signed a huge new deal with his current club, so any offer from the Parisians would have to be seriously big. Tuttosport estimate a bid of £70-80 million would be needed, and it could well be a lot more. In order to comply with Financial Fair Play, the French side would also need to sell off several players, with Ezequiel Lavezzi already looking to be on his way out.

Al Thani’s club are currently restricted by a transfer ban, which might make a move for French international star Pogba impossible.

Former Manchester United player Pogba has been in excellent form for Juventus this season, picking up foru goals and two assists in 19 starts.
