Ognenovski has missed the Sky Blues’ last five matches with a hip injury, and Sydney coach Graham Arnold says the situation is “very serious”.

“Put it his way, he’s had it for six, seven weeks and it’s got no better,” Arnold said post-game.

“He’s had injections, MRI’s, everything you can possibly have and it’s still not getting better.

“Hopefully his season is not over.”

Sydney have been ravaged by injury this season, with Ali Abbas, Corey Gameiro and Nick Carle all out for the remainder of the season with knee injuries.
