Manchester City are reportedly ready to make former Chelsea attacking midfielder Kevin De Bruyne one of their top targets for the January transfer window, according to the Daily Star.

The Premier League champions are keen to improve their attacking options this season and have identified the in-form Wolfsburg playmaker as a good option to ease the pressure on their other players upfront at the moment.
With Sergio Aguero out injured, James Milner played in an unfamiliar striker role in this weekend’s win over Crystal Palace, while it was up to David Silva and Yaya Toure to provide the goals from midfield.
De Bruyne has six goals and twelve assists in all competitions this season and has generally looked superb with his performances in Germany, making it something of a surprise that he never got more of a chance to prove himself at Chelsea before being sold last January.
Still, the 23-year-old could now find himself back in England just a year later after his fine displays with Wolfsburg, though he would likely command a fee of around £20m.
