Chelsea star Petr Cech would apparently consider a move to Arsenal according to his agent.

Goal.com elaborate on quotes made by Viktor Kolar, Cech’s representative, that certainly suggest an Emirates Stadium switch is one the 32 year old would be open to.

The experienced Czech Republic keeper finds himself in the unusual position of acting as a back-up option at Stamford Bridge, with Jose Mourinho having opted to usher in young Belgian Thibaut Courtois after his three successful seasons on loan at Atletico Madrid.

Cech is clearly too good a player to be left warming the bench and though a January move it apparently not likely it’s clear that Kolar is looking to garner interest for his client, stating;

“It’s unlikely Petr will leave Chelsea in the January transfer window. The club and coach want to keep him to help win the title,” Kolar told Czech newspaper Sport.

“I think Arsenal should have made an offer to him. I think Petr would be considering it.”

Though Pole Wojciech Szczesny has been a fairly decent first choice starter over the past 18 months there is no doutbing that Cech would offer Arsene Wenger a more accomplished option between the sticks.

Jose Mourinho has proven he is willing to sell players to major rivals, as with his sale of Juan Mata in January, and as such Arsenal would do well to make the most of his fairly clear ‘come and get me’ plea.
