The Swede came in as runner up behind multiple grand slam winning tennis player Bjorn Borg in the list made by newspaper Dagens Nyheter. The paper then contacted the 33-year-old to get his reaction to the news that he was not in first place.

“Thank you but to finish second is like finishing last,” said the former AC Milan forward.

When he was asked about who he would put in to the top five, the ex-Barcelona man replied, “On that list I would have been No. 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5, with due respect to the others.”

Ibrahimovic has won domestic trophies in five different countries, but has never won the Champions League or any international trophies with the Swedish national team.

He did at least have some kind words for the man who beaten him Borg, saying, “He is a cool person and a living legend.”

This is yet another funny example of the forward’s arrogance and humour, with various quotes in the past also becoming famous for similar reasons.
