Upton Park star on Emirates Stadium radar.
West Ham centre-back Winston Reid insists he will not allow speculation of a move to Arsenal effect his form according to Goal.com.
The 26 year old New Zealand international has been in fine form this term, helping Sam Allardyce’s side start the season in superb fashion, and is out of contract with the east London side next summer.
Arsene Wenger is apparently lining up a January bid for Reid but the Hammers star is focusing his attention on helping his side push for a top six, perhaps even top four, finish.
Reid recently publicly discussed talk of a West Ham exit, stating;
“It doesn’t really affect me. It is just one of those things that has been going on in the background.
“I know where I am and just get on with it and I have always given 100 per cent for this club for as long as I have been here and I will continue to do that.
“It is not something that bothers me, it is just part of being a footballer and it is no big drama.”
Indeed the West Ham man may well prefer to play out his current deal and then be in a better bargaining position when any prospective suitor comes in for his services at the end of the season.
