Reds hoping to secure deal for winger Adama Traore.

Liverpool are hoping to beat both of their fiercest Premier League rivals Everton and Manchester United to the signing of exciting teenage winger Adama Traore from Barcelona, report the Daily Star, although the Reds are hoping to persuade the Catalan outfit to sanction a permanent deal rather than just a loan move in January.

Traore hit the headlines recently when he scored an incredible goal for the club’s B team in the Spanish Segunda Division, but the teenager remains very much on the periphery of the action at the Nou Camp, meaning that the club’s chiefs are believed to be keen on sending him out to experience first team action more regularly during the second half of the season.

Everton are believed to be interested in offering Traore this opportunity, with Barcelona having been impressed by the development of fellow young winger Gerard Deulofeu during a spell at Goodison Park this season, but Liverpool are now set to complicate matters by entering the race for Traore.

The Reds are even interested in signing Traore on a permanent basis, although that is something that Barcelona are not currently willing to sanction, whilst Manchester United have also been interested in Traore, having reportedly had a deadline day bid turned down in the summer.
