Mexican forward Hernandez is currently on loan at Real Madrid but is seemingly unlikely to be bought outright by the Spanish giants and that leaves van Gaal open to use the 26 year old as bait in pursuit of French international Rami.

Louis van Gaal will not have been all that impressed with his current central defensive options and may see the 29 year old San Siro man as a dependable reinforcement to pursue.

Rami has been a regular this term though Filippo Inzaghi may feel his need for a prolific goalscorer is such that a move to bring in Chicharito would be advisable.

Hernandez scored regularly for Man United, his tally of 59 goals in 154 appearances all the more impressive when you consider 69 of those were from the bench, and has managed to score three La Liga goals despite starting just one game.
