The improving Newcastle Jets play host to Melbourne City in a mid-week clash at Hunter Stadium.
Despite going down to the Melbourne Victory on Saturday, the Jets look like a much better unit than they did just a few weeks ago and it won’t be easy for the visiting City.
City threw away a 1-0 lead to share the points against table-toppers Perth Glory on Friday, and like Newcastle are on the slight improve.
The pressure has eased on City boss John van’t Schip following the derby win over the Melbourne Victory and the draw against the Glory and the Dutchman will be liking his side’s chances against the Jets.
Both sides will be desperate for a win and it should make for an entertaining clash.
