The 21 year old has previously been offered to both Arsenal and Tottenham but appears close to completing a £10m move to Bundesliga outfit Schalke after failing to make an impact at the Etihad Stadium this term.
The Serbian centre-back started the Community Shield fixture against Arsenal but was poor and hasn’t played a single minute of senior action this season and it’s no surprise that boss Manuel Pellegrini would look to offload the youngster.
Nastasic arrived from Fiorentina in 2012 and initially impressed and Schalke’s chairman Clemens Tönnies has confirmed that talks are ongoing.
“Our coach Roberto Di Matteo has him in his plans,” Tönnies told Bild.
“Also, the player wants to help us.”
