Reports in the Daily Star claim that Jose Mourinho has told Roman Abramovich to ‘go and get’ Reus, who is one of a number of Dortmund stars seemingly angling for an exit after the club’s poor start to the season.

Man City, Arsenal, Man United, Liverpool are also interested, but former coach of Bayern Munich and Real Madrid, Jupp Heynckes, reckons he should go to the European champions.

“I would recommend him to go to Madrid,” he said. “The Bayern Munich already has four or five world class players before. Where to play Reus?

“If he really has a clause of €25 million, all the great teams of Europe should do everything to attract services Reus.”

The Champions League regulars find themselves second bottom in the Bundesliga, and the 25-year-old will be desperate to be playing in the elite competition again next season, after missing out on this summer’s World Cup through injury.
