The Gunners boss insists that the in form Chilean has shown no signs of fatigue, and that he seems to recover far quicker than most players.

“You look at the players who have that confidence and you are torn between when a player is that confident to keep him on playing or give him a rest, but when the players are confident it is important to keep them going, especially when they have that physical potential,” he said.

“Sanchez recovers very quickly and he doesn’t look in our tests to have any fatigue problem.”

Sanchez was allegedly offered a rest ahead of his side’s 2-0 win over Hull City in the FA Cup, but turned it down as he was desperate to play.

Arsenal fans will be glad he did too, as the former Barcelona man put in another Man of the Match performance against the Tigers. He was industrious and tireless all evening as usual, and capped the performance with a superb goal to seal the win.

Theo Walcott also got his first start alongside his new teammate, and although there were definite signs of ring rust, the England international was making some superb runs and getting into excellent positions.
