The 27 year old Argentine was not named in Enrique’s starting eleven for their Sunday night defeat at Real Sociedad and this will only have added further fuel to speculation that Messi isn’t happy with life at the Nou Camp right now.

Both PSG and Man City are both known to be interested in signing Messi though Jose Mourinho may have a trump card in the pursuit of the four time Ballon d’Or winner, namely Cesc Fabregas.

The Chelsea summer signing is known to be Messi’s best friend and that can only aid the Blues push for Messi though one imagines it would take a bid of truly epic proportions to land the one club man.

Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich is perhaps able to mount a mammoth bid for Messi though Barcelona are presumably even more unlikely to consider offers for the attacker now that their appeal against a FIFA transfer ban, which runs throughout 2015, has failed.

Messi has racked up 377 goals in 447 appearances for Barcelona, helping the Catalan club to a myriad of honours including six La Liga titles and three Champions League triumphs.
