Barcelona icon Lionel Messi has fuelled speculation linking him with an incredible move to Premier League leaders Chelsea in the near future, report the Mail, after the Argentine followed the club’s official Instagram account.

Messi also followed Blues players Filipe Luis and Thibaut Courtois, who were his adversaries whilst at Atletico Madrid last season, all of which some have taken as indications that the 27 year-old could be considering a new challenge at Stamford Bridge as Barcelona’s new era under Luis Enrique continues to stall.
The little maestro was left out of Enrique’s starting line up, controversially sat on the bench alongside Neymar and Gerard Pique, as they failed to impress in a frustrating 1-0 defeat to David Moyes’ Real Sociedad in San Sebastian on Sunday evening – and there have been reports that Messi has not been impressed by former Celta Vigo boss Enrique since he took over at the Nou Camp in the summer.
Chelsea have been linked with an astonishing big money swoop to sign Messi during the course of the season, despite suggestions from manager Jose Mourinho that UEFA’s financial rules would prevent such a marquee signing, and his social media activity is only serving to pour more fuel onto an already lit fire.
