The Argentine is apparently unhappy at the Catalan side at the moment, and could be tempted to leave due to grievances with the club’s hierarchy. Current manager Luis Enrique is supposedly a big source of the problems, and this issue has added to the disagreements that the 27-year-old has had with the team’s directors over the past two years.

The reports seem to have originated from Spanish radio station ‘RAC 1’. They have added to the turmoil that the Blaugranas have been in in recent times, with a loss to Real Sociedad in their last match seeming to tip the balance in terms of the unhappiness with the current regime.

Meanwhile Chelsea are apparently happy to pay the €250 million release clause that the four time Ballon d’Or winner has in his contract. This fee would smash the current record transfer fee of around £80 million, which was paid for either Cristiano Ronaldo or Gareth Bale depending on who you listen to.
