USA international DeAndre Yedlin is now a Tottenham Hotspur player for real.

The 21-year-old, who recently joined Spurs from the Seattle Sounders, trained with his new teammates for the first time on Wednesday.

Spurs have given the pacy right-back 12 as a squad number.

The last player to wear Tottenham’s 12 shirt was Wilson Palacios.

Radek Cerny, Gary Doherty, Justin Edinburgh, Stephen Carr, Jason Dozzell and Stuart Nethercott are the only other men who have been number 12 for Spurs in the Premier League.

Yedlin could make his Tottenham debut on Saturday night, when Mauricio Pochettino takes his side to Selhurst Park for a London derby with Crystal Palace.
