The 17-year-old is one of the Gunners’ top targets for the January transfer window as Arsene Wenger looks to bring in one of Europe’s most exciting teenage prospects.

Bielik’s superb potential has seen him compared with former Arsenal great Patrick Vieira, and the club are hoping that they can now complete a move to bring him to the Emirates Stadium this winter.

Arsenal are short of options in midfield at the moment, with injuries to the likes of Mikel Arteta, Jack Wilshere and Aaron Ramsey leaving Wenger’s side looking weak in that crucial part of the pitch.

Some big nams have been linked with the north London side in recent times, but it may be that they will instead look to youth to improve in that department, with Bielik looking a potentially excellent acquisition.
