The Togo international has not played for the club for two months since being allowed compassionate leave in November. He returned to training last month, but has still not been seen in the first team since.

After his last appearance in a 2-1 defeat to Stoke City he criticised the clubs fans for creating a negative atmosphere in White Hart Lane.

The 30-year-old rejected a move to Besiktas in 2013, but is still going to be offered to Turkish clubs again as they are some of the few teams that can afford his £100,000 a week wages.

He will also be offered to clubs in the USA, and could follow Steven Gerrard to the MLS. Former Spurs man Clint Dempsey is also plying his trade in America at the moment.
