Liverpool may be looking to pounce, as Barcelona keeper Marc-Andre ter Stegen reveals he is unhappy at Barcelona…

German shot-stopper Marc-Andre ter Stegen has recently revealed that he is unsettled at Barcelona, and could be on his way out of the Nou Camp despite only joining last summer, according to the Mirror.

Ter Stegen has found himself behind Claudio Bravo in the pecking order since joining the La Liga giants, and is reportedly unhappy with his current situation.

“It’s good to be at Barca but the situation is difficult. I’d be lying if I said I didn’t care and it isn’t easy being a spectator,” he said.

“I want to be the No.1 and I’m convinced that’s something that will happen if I continue to improve and work hard.

“I can only try to prove that I am the best [of the two goalkeepers] and that’s why I came here, so it’s something I will fight for.”

The 22-year-old is a long term transfer target for Brendan Rodgers and Liverpool, who could look to capitalise on the player’s desire for first team football.

Rodgers is currently on the lookout for a replacement for underperforming Reds keeper Simon Mignolet, with the Belgian making a number of high profile mistakes this season.

Barcelona will be unwilling to let him go cheaply, however, if at all. They are currently in the midst of a two window transfer embargo, which means they will be unable to bring in a replacement. A £17m deal has been touted, but could still be a long way off.
