Liverpool will be looking for a win to put pressure on rivals Arsenal above them, while Sunderland could do with three points to ensure they move away from the relegation zone, so there is plenty at stake for both sides this afternoon.
Fabio Borini will make a surprise start upfront against the side he joined on loan last season, with Raheem Sterling rested as he has been handed a break by the club.
