The 20-year-old has been one of the breakthrough performers in the Premier League in the last year or so, starring for the Reds as they nearly won the title last season, whilst also becoming a regular for England at senior level and impressing for Roy Hodgson’s side at last summer’s World Cup.

Still, Sterling’s fine form has also attracted some unwanted attention from Spanish giants Real Madrid, who have been linked with the pacey wide-man on a number of occasions in recent months.

With Sterling yet to commit to a new contract at Anfield, speculation is likely to continue to grow, and it is reported that talks have been put on hold once again for the player to enjoy his holiday in Jamaica.
