Ex-Chelsea striker Demba Ba is being lined up for a potential return to the Premier League just six months after leaving for Turkish side Besiktas.

New West Brom coach Tony Pulis is leading the charge for the forward who’s English football pedigree includes spells at West Ham, Newcastle and Chelsea.

Ba was let go at the same time as other misfiring Chelsea forwards Fernando Torres and Samuel Eto’o for a revamped attack of Diego Costa, Loic Remy and the return of club legend Didier Drogba.

Harry Redknapp’s QPR are also said to be looking to land a proven, quality striker and could target Ba but would have to compete not just West Brom but a number of interested clubs in Russia.

Ba has seemed revived at Besiktas with 13 goals in 19 appearances and the 29 year old could be available for a paltry £5 million though his steep wages could be an issue, reports Sunday People.

Pulls, however, is said to be keen to bring a striker into the West Midlands club in the coming weeks.
