The Frenchman was needlessly pushed by Marko Arnautovic after the ball had run out of play, and landed awkwardly on the astro-turf; colliding with the advertising boards.

Debuchy was treated for six minutes on the sidelines, before eventually being stretched off clutching his shoulder and sporting a nasty wound on his face.

Having already missed a large chunk of the season, the right-back is likely to spend significantly more time in the doctor’s office if he has in fact dislocated his shoulder.

Arsenal have suffered badly with defensive injuries this season, and this latest blow comes just as things were starting to look up.

Arsene Wenger was already looking to buy a defender this January, but will almost certainly be forced into the market now.

Debuchy is due to have an X-Ray in the dressing room at the Emirates during the second half, at which point more information should become available.
