Arsenal are looking to get their season back on track, starting with revenge against Stoke City following their disappointing 3-2 loss at the Britannia Stadium earlier in the season.

Arsene Wenger’s side ran out comfortable 3-0 winners at the Emirates, with an early goal providing the platform for a dominant win.

Alexis Sanchez was once again the difference maker, with the £32m summer signing involved in all three goals. The Chilean looks a different class at times, and has been a superb acquisition for the Gunners this season.

Laurent Koscielny got the home side off to a flying start, losing his man in the box and heading in a Sanchez cross. Steven N’Zonzi failed to stick with his man in the second phase of an Arsenal corner, Arsenal’s French centre-back finding acres of space in the box.

Things have been looking up for Arsenal recently on the injury front, but that positivity certainly didn’t last long. Mathieu Debuchy has spent much of the season sidelined with injury, and looks set to resume his place on the injury table after suffering a suspected dislocated shoulder.

Marko Arnautovic gave the Frenchman a nasty shove in the back, sending him tumbling towards the advertising boards. He was treated for six minutes before being stretchered off.

Alexis Sanchez was at the centre of everything good that Arsenal were creating, and was rewarded with a goal. The tricky forward danced his way into the box, before smashing one in at the near post and beating Asmir Begovic.

Sanchez got the better of Begovic again in the second half, driving a free kick low underneath the wall, and catching the Stoke shot-stopper off guard.

It was a dominant display overall from Arsenal, and they were deserved winners at the end of the 90 minutes.
