Louis van Gaal wants to sign the 25 year old and Man United have apparently made a world record breaking bid worth £117m and it’s an offer Real Madrid are ready to accept.

Bale has been a massive success since moving to the Spanish capital 18 months ago, netting 22 goals in his debut season at the club and helping Carlo Ancelotti’s side to Champions League and Copa del Rey triumphs.

This season the former Tottenham man has been key to Real Madrid’s astonishing 22 match winning streak but has come in for a fair amount of booing from home supporters in recent months, leading to speculation of a possible exit.

Man United will look to secure a big name signing to help boost the club’s standing though a summer bid could only be a possibility if a top four finish has been achieved.
