South African football website Soccer Laduma says the Premier Soccer League club have signed a second New Zealander for the 2015-16 season.

“We’re excited to have signed Michael, and we wanted to have him here sooner, but his club indicated that he was very important for them and that they didn’t want to lose him now,” said SuperSport chief executive Stan Matthews.

“Due to that we’ll only get him at the end of the season.”

The 26-year-old has made 25 appearances for the Phoenix since signing with the club in 2013.

Boxall has struggled with a lack of opportunity this season as the Phoenix’s strong start to the season has left the former Auckland City on the bench for a majority of the A-League season.
