Arsene Wenger gives the latest injury news ahead of the Gunners visit to Manchester City.
Arsene Wenger has given Arsenal a slight injury boost following news that key first team stars Mikel Arteta and Mathieu Debuchy would both be out for three months.

The Arsenal boss has now said Arteta will be out for just six weeks, not the long term absence initially feared, when it was announced yesterday that the midfielder had had surgery on a bone spur on his left ankle.
At Colney. Wenger confirms Arteta will be out for six weeks and Debuchy out for three months. Refuses to confirm who will start in goal.

Wenger also revealed the state of the squad ahead of the Gunners trip to Manchester City at the weekend. Danny Welbeck will remain out injured for a further two weeks, the English forward has been missing from the Arsenal first team squad since their victory over West Ham on the 28th December.

Theo Walcott and Mesut Özil are both fit to face Manuel Pellegrini’s side whilst Kieran Gibbs will face a late injury test after sitting out Arsenal’s 3-0 win over Stoke last weekend.

Wenger also refused to be drawn on whether David Ospina would retain his place in the Arsenal goal after club no. 1 Wojciech Szczesny was dropped for the Gunners last two matches.
