Frenchman Kevin Gameiro the latest strikers in Brendan Rodgers’ sights.

Liverpool are considering a move to sign French international striker Kevin Gameiro from La Liga outfit Sevilla, reports the Daily Star, as Brendan Rodgers continues his search for increased firepower to help take the load off struggling trio Mario Balotelli, Rickie Lambert and Fabio Borini.

Whilst England international Daniel Sturridge is expected to return to full fitness and the first team picture in the coming weeks, Rodgers is still likely to want another forward to boost his Anfield attack during the coming weeks, and Sevilla star Gameiro now looks to be on Northern Irishman’s wish-list.

Sevilla signed Gameiro from Ligue 1 champions Paris Saint Germain 18 months ago and, despite a relatively prolific debut season in La Liga that saw him plundered 15 goals, he has largely been a substitute this season as Unai Emery has preferred Carlos Bacca in the lone striker role.
