Out Of Favour Manchester United Star Denied January Loan Move

Adnan Januzaj will be staying at Old Trafford.

Manchester United will not be allowing young winger Adnan Januzaj to leave the club on loan during the January transfer window, report the Mirror, despite the fact that the Belgian international has not been anything like the regular fixture under Louis van Gaal that he was when David Moyes was in charge at Old Trafford last season.

The report suggests that Januzaj had been receptive to the idea of leaving the club on loan in a bid to play the regular first team football that he enjoyed last season, but United are keen on the teenager staying at Old Trafford in a bid to fight for his place in van Gaal’s first team plans.

The club’s hierarchy have told Januzaj that he will be going nowhere during January, meaning that the Belgian has little option but to knuckle down and look to fight his way into the team, despite van Gaal playing a system that is not well suited to Januzaj’s talents.

David Moyes had been believed to be interested in linking up with Januzaj once again by taking him on loan to Real Sociedad, but that potential deal would now appear to be a non-starter.
