The talented 22-year-old, who has shone in the English top flight since making the step up from Championship football, is attracting plenty of interest at the moment as he looks set to become a free agent in the summer after neglecting to sign a new contract at Turf Moor.

Moyes took over at Real Sociedad earlier this season in his first job since leaving Manchester United in April, and he is now eyeing some signings to put his own stamp on the squad he has inherited.

Ings looks like he could be a fine addition upfront, though it remains to be seen if the player would favour a move abroad over likely offers from other Premier League clubs who have been linked with him in recent times.

British players are not known for moving abroad too often, though Welshman Gareth Bale is playing in Spain for Real Madrid, while former England left-back Ashley Cole joined AS Roma in the summer.
