Rangers remain in the Premier League relegation zone after a defeat to Manchester United at Loftus Road today.

Queens Park Rangers manager Harry Redknapp has insisted that he does not fear for his Loftus Road future after a disappointing 2-0 home defeat to Manchester United today, report the Mirror, a result that extended the Hoops’ winless run to six games and leaves them stranded in the Premier League relegation zone.

Redknapp is coming under increased pressure at Loftus Road after the club’s failure to pick up a single point away from home this season, breaking a Premier League record in the process, has left them marooned in the bottom three after more than half of the season, with relegation back to the Championship looking a real possibility.

Rangers’ form in front of their own fans at Loftus Road has been one of few saving graces this season, but disappointing draws against Crystal Palace and Swansea City recently, followed by the United defeat, have put a real dent in their home record.

Despite his side’s form, however, experienced Rangers manager Harry Redknapp insisted that he does not fear the sack after the Manchester United defeat:

“I spoke with Tony Fernandes five times last week.”

“He never mentioned anything to me. He said it was nonsense. What will be will be. I can only give my best.”

“My job? I am not worried about that. That is their choice. If they want to make a change, then it is up to them.”
