The former Tottenham Hotspur and West Ham United manager has worked with a number of clubs in English football down the years, and also took charge of Bournemouth between 1983 and 1992.

It is now claimed that the 67-year-old would be offered a place on the Cherries’ board if he is shown the door at QPR, with a tough game coming up against Manchester United that could decide his future with the Premier League strugglers.

Having won promotion with the Londoners last season via the Championship playoffs, Rangers are now facing the prospect of going straight back down again after a poor run of form in the top flight.

Redknapp’s side have only won five games all season – none in their last four – and currently sit 19th in the Premier League table, with owner Tony Fernandes seemingly running out of patience and considering making a change.
